Magic Get Swept by Squadron at Home

The Osceola Magic fell to the Birmingham Squadron at Osceola Heritage Park 122-119 on Friday Night.

Birmingham's Kira Lewis Jr. contributed 32 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, while Landers Nolly II netted 30 points off the bench.D.J. Wilson led the Magic with a team-high 32 points and nine rebounds. Mac McClung added 30 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in an unsuccessful attempt to secure the victory.

"We controlled the game for 44 minutes, they controlled it for the last four, and we couldn't execute," Osceola Head Coach Dylan Murphy said. "We're trying to build something special here, we want to win every game."

The Magic outrebounded the Squadron 51-38. Nevertheless, Osceola's 18 turnovers proved costly, with the Squadron converting them into 17 points. Kira Lewis Jr. sealed the victory for Birmingham by sinking a three-point shot with 3.4 seconds remaining in the contest.

The Osceola Magic (7-6), NBA G League Affiliate of the Orlando Magic, will host the Mexico City Capitanes, on Saturday, December 16 at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee at 7:00 PM for their Mexican Heritage Night presented by Suncoast Credit Union.
