Austin Spurs to Host Annual Season of Giving Game on December 17

AUSTIN - The Austin Spurs are set to host their annual Season of Giving game presented by iHeart Media on Sunday, Dec. 17 against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park at 3 p.m.

For Sunday's Season of Giving game, the Spurs will be wearing special jerseys inspired by the popular Christmas character, best known as the one "who stole Christmas."The game-worn themed jerseys will be auctionedon DASHwith bidding starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, running through Friday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. with proceeds benefiting Foster Angels of Central Texas. Founded in 2010, the Foster Angels of Central Texas is a non-profit whose mission is to improve the lives of children in foster care, ensuring each child has their basic needs met and providing life-enhancing and enriching opportunities.

The Spurs will host children from underserved communities throughout Austin at the game. Each child will receive a stuffed animal courtesy of PetSmart Cedar Park. Also in attendance will be several community organizations from the Central Texas area that include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Dove Springs Proud, African American Youth Harvest Foundation, Foster Village and CASA of Travis County.

For the fourth Sunday Funday of the season, Christmas characters including Santa Claus will be available for photos pregame and halftime while The One Who Stole Christmas and others will be accessible for pictures throughout the game. Children 14 and under will get in free with the purchase of an adult ticket with the opportunity to shoot one free throw on the court after the game.
