
Lynx drop second straight to Chiefs

OTTAWA - The Lynx didn't have an answer to the Chiefs offence today, losing 8-0 to the Bkue Jays' Triple-A affiliates. The loss drops the Lynx to the .500 mark: 6-6-3.
The Lynx managed only four hits against Syracuse. Philip Cuevas and 2003 Lynx MVP Pedro Swann each had a hit and a stolen base. Herman Demmink and Orlando Guevara had the other two Lynx hits in this final game against Syracuse.
John Ennis allowed 3 runs over his 3 innings. Former Jay Justin Miller limited Syracuse to 1 run over his 3 innings before giving way to Brian Sanches who allowed 4 runs over 2 innings. Kane Davis came in and threw a scoreless 9th inning.
The Lynx wrap up the preseason with a home-and-home series against Durham. The Lynx and Bulls face off at the Devil Rays' Spring Training Complex Friday and then complete their Spring schedule in Clearwater Saturday.
The Ottawa Lynx will open the 2007 season, their first season as the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, in Rochester on April 6. The Lynx home opener is scheduled for April 17th against the Charlotte Knights at 6:05 pm. Single-game tickets will be on sale at the Lynx Box Office starting April 2nd at 10 am.
