
Indians sign RHP Koplove to Minor League Deal

The Cleveland Indians today announced that they have signed pitcher Mike Koplove to a minor league contract.
Koplove, 30, owns a career Major League record of 15-7 with two saves and a 3.76ERA in 217 relief outings with the Arizona Diamondbacks from 2001-06 (248.2IP, 225H, 104ER, 101BB, 171K). He was a key member of the Arizona bullpen in 2002 (6-1, 3.36ERA, 55G) and 2003 (3-0, 2.15ERA, 31G). His 217 relief appearances rank third in Arizona franchise history.
Koplove last pitched in the big leagues in 2006 for Arizona (0-0, 3.00ERA, 2G). He was released by the Florida Marlins yesterday out of Major League camp.
