Minnesota Lynx News Release
TONIGHT'S GAME
Charlotte at Minnesota - Thursday, July 27, at Target Center (7:00 p.m.)
Charlotte center and former Gopher Janel McCarville will make her debut at Target Center in the second game in three days between the Lynx and the Sting. McCarville, who was injured when the two teams met during the 2005 season, is averaging 4.0 points and 2.9 rebounds in 22 contests this season. She has, however, experienced an increase in playing time and production in recent weeks. Tuesday night's 70-62 Lynx victory was Carolyn Jenkin's first win as a WNBA head coach. She hopes to keep her record perfect on Thursday against a Sting team that is 4-1 all-time at Target Center.
NEXT UP
Minnesota at Chicago - Friday, July 28, at UIC Pavilion (7:00 p.m.)
The Minnesota Lynx will travel to the Windy City for their second match-up with Chicago in ten days. In their last meeting, Amber Jacobs had the golden touch as she was perfect from the field and the line and scored a career-high 24 points. Rookie Candice Dupree, Chicago's leading scorer, led the Sky with 14 points, just surpassing her season average of 13.2 ppg. Minnesota will look to improve on its 8-4 all-time record against first year teams, while the Sky will look for the fourth win in their franchise's young history.
LYNX WATCH PARTIES
Now Lynx fans won't have to miss Lynx games, even when they are on the road. On four dates this season the Lynx will hold Watch Parties at the Naismith Lounge in Target Center's NBA City Restaurant so fans can watch the Lynx play their away games. Festivities include the Lynx game on 35 TV's, 2 for 1 on all drinks and half priced appetizers throughout the game. Also, fans will get the chance to win Lynx merchandise, courtside Lynx tickets and NBA City gift certificates. The next Watch Party is July 28 when the Lynx play at Chicago. Watch Parties will also be held on July 30, August 8, and August 13.
