Daniel Lynch made a rehab start for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (11-11) on Tuesday afternoon against the Wichita Wind Surge (9-13) at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale, Arkansas, striking out six while the Naturals pounded their way to a 6-4 victory. The homestand continues on Wednesday with a 7:05 PM CT first pitch.

Lynch started off his 2023 debut by allowing back-to-back singles and a stolen base in the first, but the Southpaw punched out the next three hitters to end the inning. In the second, Wichita got a two-run homer from David Banuelos to give the Wind Surge a 2-0 lead.

Lynch finished his outing in the third, striking out six over 2.1 innings while allowing two runs on four hits with a walk in a no-decision.

The Naturals came within a run in the second thanks to Jeison Guzman's RBI double and took the lead in the third. NWA scored four runs on three hits, including an RBI double from Robbie Glendinning, to give Northwest Arkansas a 5-2 lead.

The bullpen pieced together 6.2 innings while holding the Wind Surge to two runs on four hits with four walks and eight strikeouts in the win, with the Naturals scoring an insurance run in the seventh to take the series opener 6-4.
