Lupul named National City Mighty Ducks Player of the Month

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Cincinnati right wing Joffrey Lupul has been named the National City Mighty Ducks Player of the Month for March, 2005.

Lupul, a first-round pick by Anaheim in 2002, led Cincinnati in points (tied with 10), goals (tied with six), power-play goals (tied with two), game-winning goals (tied with one), shots (36) and plus/minus (plus-6) in 10 games during the month.

He recorded three multiple-point games, including a three-point game (one goal, two assists) March 25 against Milwaukee and a two-goal game March 26 against Milwaukee. Lupul finished the month with a four-game goal streak, scoring five goals with two assists in that stretch.

This is the second time this season Lupul has been named the Mighty Ducks Player of the Month. He was previously named the recipient of the award in January.

In recognition of his achievement, Lupul will be presented with a plaque from National City prior to an upcoming Mighty Ducks home game.
