Bill Kinkel scored the first three goals of his AHL career to lead Houston past Cincinnati, 4-1... Cam Ward made 31 saves in Lowell's 4-3 win over Manchester... Marek Svatos scored with 1.9 seconds to go, giving Hershey a 3-2 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton... Joe Motzko's shorthanded goal with 8.8 seconds remaining in regulation allowed Syracuse to go on to a 4-3 shootout win over St. John's.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Hershey hopes to continue its surge toward a playoff spot with a visit to the Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia on Friday night... The Bears are four points out of fourth place in the East Division, but have just eight games remaining heading into the weekend... Mathieu Darche, riding a seven-game scoring streak (4g, 4a), has tallied eight goals and four assists in nine meetings with the Phantoms this season... Jon Sim (seven games), Joni Pitkanen (six) and R.J. Umberger (five) all have scoring streaks intact for the Phantoms... Tom Lawson has won three straight in net for Hershey, but is 0-7-0 lifetime against Philadelphia.
St. John's continues its eight-game road trip with North Division battles against Hamilton, Cleveland and Rochester this weekend... The Maple Leafs sported a record of 8-3-0-1 during the month of March, but are 2-5-1-1 in their last nine away from home... Mikael Tellqvist got the start in 11 of the 12 games last month and went 8-2-1... St. John's sits third in the North, and has already wrapped up its first 40-win season since 1993-94... Friday's visit to Copps Coliseum, airing live on Rogers Sportsnet, will mark the 100th and final regular-season meeting between the Maple Leafs and Bulldogs, as St. John's prepares to move to Toronto next year.
The Utah Grizzlies get a chance to play spoiler as they visit Grand Rapids for two games and Cincinnati for one... The Griffins and Mighty Ducks enter the weekend tied for fourth place in the West Division... The Grizzlies have split their first four meetings with Grand Rapids this season, including a 5-2 win at Van Andel Arena on Feb. 11... Terry Virtue has scored three goals in 55 games in a Utah uniform; two have come against the Griffins... The Grizzlies are still looking for their first goal at Cincinnati Gardens in 2004-05; the Ducks have shut out Utah three times on home ice this season... Joffrey Lupul has 10 points (4g, 6a) in seven games against the Grizzlies on the year.
