Game Keys - Hector Luna had three hits and drove in three runs on hot Sunday afternoon in the Zephyrs 5-3 win over the Memphis Redbirds. The Z's offense was scattered scoring five runs in five different innings. Gookie Dawkins and Luna provided the power, each hitting solo home runs. Tom Mastny picked up the win and PJ Walters suffered the defeat for Memphis. The Redbirds threatened in the eighth and ninth inning as the Zephyrs bullpen closed out the contest. Jose Veras earned his second save of the season. The Z's have won two of the first three in the series.
Game Notes - Outfielder Cameron Maybin will be added to the roster on Monday. The Zephyrs improved to 10-8 in day games. Danny Richar has had at least two hits in each of his last four games and raised his team leading average to .315 on Sunday.
Coming Up: The Zephyrs wrap up the four game set in Memphis on Monday morning at 11:05. The Zephyrs will send LH Sean West (2-1, 2.04)to face Redbirds RH Brandon Dickson (7-3, 2.93). The Zephyrs open a eight game homestand on Tuesday night. RADIO WMTI 106.1 FM
