
Luis Arraez Selected to MWL Post-Season All-Star Team

Cedar Rapids, IA - Richard A. Nussbaum II, President of the Midwest League of Professional Baseball Clubs, has announced its 2016 Post Season All-Star Roster. The team was selected by the Field Managers of the sixteen Midwest League member clubs.
Luis Arraez was selected to the Post Season All-Star Roster at second base. Outfielder Eloy Jimenez of South Bend was named the MWL Most Valuable Player and Prospect of the Year. South Bend manager Jimmy Gonzalez was named the MWL Manager of the Year.
South Bend and Wisconsin had two players on the squad. A full listing of the team is below: First Base - Will Maddox (West Michigan) Second Base - Luis Arraez (Cedar Rapids) Third Base - Kevin Padlo (Bowling Green) Shortstop - Isan Diaz (Wisconsin) Outfield - Eloy Jimenez (South Bend) Outfield - Connor Marabell (Lake County) Outfield - Magneuris Sierra (Peoria) Catcher - Austin Allen (Fort Wayne) Designated Hitter - Trevor Mitsui (Kane County) RH Pitcher - Preston Morrison (South Bend) LH Pitcher - Angel Perodomo (Lansing) LH Pitcher - Evan Manarino (Beloit) RH Reliever - Nathan Greip (Wisconsin) LH Reliever - Spencer Herrmann (Clinton) The Kernels are in the midst of a seven game home stand and host the Quad Cities River Bandits tonight at 6:35 PM with the gates opening at 5:30 PM. It's our last Great Clips Twins Tuesday and fans can also get a FREE Kernels 2016- 17 Wall Calendar while supplies last.
