Perdomo Named MWL Post Season All-Star

Lansing Lugnuts pitcher Angel Perdomo was voted to the Midwest League Post Season All-Star Team, as selected by the league's field managers.

In his first year in the Midwest League, Perdomo and Beloit's Evan Manarino were tied for the league's top left-handed starting pitcher. The 22-year-old native of San Cristobal, Dominican Republic, currently leads the MWL with 135 strikeouts in 109 1/3 innings, posting a 3-7 record with a 3.54 ERA.

Perdomo was also named a midseason Eastern Division All-Star, appearing in the All-Star Classic in Cedar Rapids, in addition to pitching in the MLB Futures Game in San Diego.

He is currently rated the Blue Jays' 6th-best pitching prospect and 15th-best overall prospect by MLB Pipeline.
