(ABERDEEN, MD) - Brian Conley helped the ‘Birds off to an early start but the Spinners bounced back to win the second game of the series 8-2.

Brian Conley got things started for the ‘Birds in the first inning, launching his first homerun of the season, a 2-run shot to right field driving in T.J. Baxter.

The ‘Birds jumped to an early lead after one once again, as they did in last night's shut out, winning 11-0 and snapping a five game losing streak. However, the Spinners had revenge in sight entering the later innings.

Lowell showed life in the second inning scoring their first run of the series by way of a double by Dan Butler that brought home William Holmes.

The Spinners tacked on another run in the third inning with Derrik Gibson coming in to score on a throwing error by Justin Dalles attempting to throw out Ryan Westmoreland while he was stealing second base.

In the fifth inning, the Spinners took a 3-2 lead on a Westmoreland double bringing in Gibson to break the tie.

Lowell extended their lead in the sixth inning on a Butler single that scored Holmes. The Spinners led 4-2 after six innings.

The Spinners tacked on four more in the ninth inning lighting up Jose Barajas and claiming victory 8-2.

Pat Kantakevich (2-4) went 5.0 innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits along with seven strike outs and a walk while taking the loss.

Tomorrow, the ‘Birds will close out their series with the Spinners; the rubber game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Tyler Sexton (2-7) will start for Aberdeen in the series finale.
