SEATTLE, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC defender Damion Lowe has been called into the Jamaican U-23 National Team for a week of training ahead of Sunday's international friendly against the Cayman Islands Senior National Team. The camp kicks-off Jamaica's preparation for the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.

This marks the first international call-up for Lowe since the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championships. The second-year pro sat out the majority of last season with a hip injury, but has appeared in five of seven preseason friendlies at centerback for Sounders FC in 2015.

The camp runs through Saturday, March 7 before the Reggae Boyz take on the Cayman Islands on Sunday, March 8 at 2:30 p.m. PT at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Sounders FC is amidst its last week of 2015 preseason preparation before Sunday's MLS regular-season opener against the New England Revolution. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. PT on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field, with the match being broadcast nationally on FOX Sports 1.
