MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact confirmed on Thursday that it will play the first match of its Champions League semifinal series against Costa Rican club Alajuelense on Wednesday, March 18 at Olympic Stadium at 8pm ( TVA Sports, Sportsnet One & World, TSN Radio 690).
Tickets are available as early as Friday at 10am, via ticketmaster.ca (1-855-790-1245) and at the ticket offices of Stade Saputo, which will be open this weekend between 9am and 5pm.
Ticket prices will be the same as in the quarterfinals. A 35% discount will be granted to members (season ticket holders) and 15% for mini-season ticket package holders, as well as individual suites and mezzanines.
A pack of four tickets will be available for $80 (purple section only). In addition, supporters who purchase tickets for March 18 as well as the opening game of the MLS season against Orlando City, will get an additional discount of 15%.
Suites for 12 to 16 people will also be available on Friday.
The decisive game of the series will be played in Costa Rica, but the date has not yet been determined.
In the quarterfinals, Alajuelense beat D.C. United by a score of 6-4 on aggregate goals.
As a result, the Bleu-blanc-noir is one of the final four teams and the only MLS representative still alive in the Champions League, after having eliminated Mexican club Pachuca Tuesday evening at Olympic Stadium, in front of 38,104 spectators.
The winner of the tournament will qualify for the prestigious FIFA Club World Cup.
