New York City FC Unveils Cityzens Membership
Published on March 5, 2015 under Major League Soccer (MLS)
New York City FC News Release
New York City FC unveils Cityzens, a membership program that aims to provide Founding Members with unique access to their Club. The Club's Seasoncard holders automatically become Cityzens, as mentioned in a welcome letter included in their Historic Inaugural Season welcome packages.
The program is built around offering its members the ability to Participate, Experience, and Get More from New York City FC. Specifically, Cityzens will regularly be invited to vote on Club decisions, like the design of the Club crest as decided by fans back in March of 2014, or the design of the Captain's armbands, also recently chosen by the fans. Cityzens will also be able to earn rewards, like signed merchandise or subscriptions to MLS Live, and get access to "money-can't-buy" experiences, like starring in the pre-match team photo or having your kids walk out hand in hand with the starting lineup. They will also have access to exclusive discounts on retail purchases and additional match tickets, as well as on partner products. All these benefits and more can be accessed through the Cityzens portal, accessible at newyorkcityzens.cityfootball.com.
Commenting on the launch, Tom Glick, President of New York City FC, said:
"Accessibility is at the core of our foundation as a Club, and Cityzens is going to help us get closer to our fans... and them closer to us. Our most engaged fans deserve the best experiences and value, and Cityzens provides just that; opportunities to create memories with their Club that will last a lifetime."
Cityzen members will earn City Points by engaging with the Club - attending matches, interacting with the club on social media, and purchasing merchandise on nycfc.com/shop. The points earned can then be redeemed towards rewards and experiences.
