BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Miami Marlins announced a series of transactions that impact their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp roster prior to tonight's game against the Birmingham Barons at Regions Field at 8:05 p.m. eastern.

Right-handed starting pitcher Pablo Lopez has been transferred from Jacksonville to Triple-A New Orleans. Lopez was 1-2 with a 0.62 ERA (3 ER in 42.1 innings) in his eight starts for the Jumbo Shrimp, with 51 strikeouts compared to only eight walks. This is the first call-up to the Triple-A level in Lopez's career, and he is listed by MLB.com as Miami's No. 21 prospect.

In a corresponding move, infielder Luis Pintor has been transferred from Marlins extended spring training to Jacksonville. Pintor in two previous stints for the Jumbo Shrimp hit .083 (1-for-12) with a run batted in.

The Jumbo Shrimp roster stands at 25 active players, plus Brett Graves on his major league rehab assignment from the Miami Marlins.

The Jumbo Shrimp continue their series in Birmingham at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Jumbo Shrimp return home for a 10-game homestand beginning Friday, June 8, against the Biloxi Shuckers. Fans may visit any participating NAPA AutoCare Center to get a FREE general admission ticket (reserved seat upgrade available at the box office) for the game that concludes with NAPA AutoCare Family Fireworks. The Jumbo Shrimp wear red "Bold City" jerseys to support the military on Red Shirt Friday, when fans who wear red can save $1 per ticket at the box office or donate the $1 to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. Friday Night Lites Miller Lite Happy Hour offers $1 12-oz. Miller Lite and $1 off craft beer specials in the Craft Cave by the third-base gates until 7:30 p.m. The game is presented by 99.9 Gator Country.
