
Aquino to the Disabled List

Pensacola Blue Wahoos News Release
Today, the Blue Wahoos placed OF Aristides Aquino on the disabled list for a right knee injury. The Southern League All-Star leads the team with eight home runs while hitting .242 with 21 RBI in 52 games.
In a corresponding move the Reds have transferred OF Narciso Crook from Hi-A Daytona. He began the season with Class-A Dayton where he hit .263 in 25 games with the Dragons. He played in just 14 games for Hi-A Daytona before his transfer to Pensacola. Crook is the step-son of former NFL wide receiver Alvis Darby and his cousin is former Major League catcher Angel Peña. He was born in Nabus of the Dominican Republic but currently resides in Trenton, NJ.
RHP Rafael De Paula has been transferred back to Pensacola from AAA Louisville. He pitched in four games with the Bats and posted a 1.35 ERA with 12 strikeouts against just four walks. Most of his season has been spent with Pensacola where he is 1-3 with a 3.86 ERA in 16 games out of the bullpen.
LHP Juan Martinez was transferred to Hi-A Daytona Beach. He's pitched in 10 games with the Blue Wahoos with a 1.32 ERA.
In a separate move, INF Alfredo Rodriguez was activated from the disabled list and transferred to Hi-A Daytona. Rodriguez played in nine games with the Blue Wahoos before sustaining a hamate injury.
