Lookouts Surrender 17 Runs in Loss

The Chattanooga Lookouts give up 17 runs on 17 hits in their 17-4 loss to the Mobile BayBears. Chattanooga is now a half game up on the Jackson Generals for first place in the North Division.

Chattanooga scored first, but Mobile racked up eight runs in the third inning against starting pitcher Anthony Marzi . They added four in the fifth and three in the sixth to give them a 15-4 lead. They tacked on two more in the ninth. Mobile finished with 17 hits, seven doubles and two homers.

Brent Rooker was a bright spot for the home team, getting on base all four times. He also smacked his eighth homer of the season in the fifth inning against Joe Gatto.

Tomorrow, the Lookouts take the field at home for the last time this half. The Thirsty Thursday features postgame fireworks presented by the Childrens Miracle Network. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m.
