MIDLAND, Mich. - The Great Lakes Loons are pleased to announce the completion and release of the official Great Lakes Loons Smartphone App. The app is free to download and is available now in the Android app store.

The Loons Smartphone app will allow fans yet another way to stay connected with all the latest Loons news and happenings. Fans will be able to buy tickets, check out the Loons roster, track stats, browse upcoming promotions and much, much more...all from their Android phone.

"The Loons are very excited to present this free app to Loons fans. We're constantly looking for new, innovative ways to keep our fans informed of the latest news about the ballclub and the organization," Loons Vice President of Marketing and Entertainment, Chris Mundhenk, said. "The app will also act as a great resource for fans attending our games - with info on the ballpark, a game center feature with up-to-date stats and roster info, and more."

The Loons are one of only a handful of Minor League Baseball teams to have their own smart phone app. An app for the iPhone is currently in development and will be available in the near future in the iTunes store.
