Chattanooga Lookouts News Release

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Thursday night's game for the Lookouts met the demands of even the most demanding manager or fan. Chattanooga starting pitcher Allen Webster pitched a complete game shutout, while the offense blasted four home runs en route to a 10-0 victory over the Jackson Generals at AT&T Field.

The Lookouts came swinging right out of the gate. Alfredo Silverio led off the bottom of the first inning with a single. Brian Cavazos-Galvez followed with a RBI triple. Hector Gimenez then hit a sacrifice fly to bring home Silverio.

Chattanooga exploded for six runs in the second frame. Travis Denker and Jaime Pedroza led off the inning with back-to-back homers. A three-run blast from Scott Van Slyke off of Tom Wilhelmsen (4-5) later on in the inning extended the Lookouts' lead to 8-0.

Denker collected his second solo shot of the game in the fifth inning to put the score at 9-0.

Another run was added to the Lookouts' total in the bottom of the sixth on a Hector Gimenez RBI double down the left field line.

Meanwhile, Allen Webster (3-1) took care of business in a big way for the Lookouts on the mound. The young righty breezed through the Generals' lineup, yielding only seven hits and a walk, while striking out seven in his sublime performance.

The Chattanooga Lookouts and Jackson Generals will continue their five-game series at 7:15 P.M., tomorrow. Tickets for this game or any other Lookouts home game can be purchased at the Lookouts Box Office at AT&T Field, online at www.lookouts.com, or by calling (423) 267-4849.
