Chattanooga Lookouts News Release

Chattanooga (25-22) rung in the series finale right, as they took the final game of the series from the Barons, 8-4.

Birmingham (19-30) got on the board first leading 1-0 as CF Luis Gonzalez belted his third home run of the year.

After that it was all Lookouts as they combined for five exta-base hits and 13 overall. Two of those hits were homers as 1B Mitch Nay slugged his fourth of the year, going 3-for-4, and falling a double short of the cycle. OF Taylor Trammell smacked his fourth homer as he extended his on-base streak to 15 games as he went 2-for-5.

Reds top pitching prospect Tony Santillan dazzled earning his second win of the year. Santillan tossed six solid innings, giving up two earned as he fanned six.

Shortstop Alfredo Rodriguez has turned into a hitting machine as of late, as he went 4-for-4 upping his average to .312 as he leads the team. Catcher Tyler Stephenson added a pair of RBIs as he went 1-for-3.

The Lookouts are finishing the homestand strong as they have taken four of their last five games.

Chattanooga is back out on the road for five against the Jackson Generals starting Tuesday, May 28, as southpaw Scott Moss (2-2, 3.95 ERA) gets the nod against lefty Kevin McCanna (2-1, 1.50 ERA) with first pitch starting at 7:05 PM ET.
