Rancho Cucamonga, CA - Chris Newell and Thayron Liranzo rescued the Quakes from a second straight defeat to Stockton, as the pair slugged back-to-back home runs in the last of the eighth, as the Quakes rallied for a 4-3 win over the Ports on Thursday night at LoanMart Field.
Trailing 3-2, Newell smashed a 444-foot drive to right-center for his team-leading seventh homer of the year.
