La Crosse, Wis. - In a back and forth game on Saturday night, the La Crosse Loggers rallied for three runs in the eighth inning to finally take the lead for good over the Bullfrogs, en route to a 10-7 La Crosse win.

The Bullfrogs struck first with back to back hits in the second inning. Robert Youngdahl drove home Tripp Martin with a single to give the Bullfrogs their only lead of the night.

The Loggers tied the game in the third and led it the rest of the way. Despite that, the teams traded blows throughout the remainder of the game. There was at least one run scored in all but one half-inning from the bottom of the fourth to the bottom of the eighth.

In the fifth and sixth innings, the teams traded a pair of three-run half innings. The Loggers scored three in the bottom of the fifth to seemingly run away with it.

With La Crosse leading 6-2 in the top of the sixth, however, the Bullfrogs immediately rallied back. With two RBI from Jack Parenty and another from Jose Godinez, the Bullfrogs scored three of their own to cut the Logger lead to 6-5.

The Bullfrogs were able to briefly tie the game at 7-7 with a run in the top of the eighth inning, but the Loggers responded with three runs of their own in the bottom half to take the lead for good.

Third-year Logger and La Crosse Bobby Juan closed it out by striking out the side in the ninth inning, earning the save to clinch a 10-7 Logger victory.

The loss went to Josh Daniels (0-2). The win went to La Crosse's Michael Lowden.

The Bullfrogs return to Joannes Stadium Sunday July 28th against the Wilmar Stringers with first pitch scheduled for 1:05 p.m. Come out to Joannes Stadium for Salute to the Green and Gold and Family Fun in the SUNdays Presented by Pizza Ranch with Star 98.
