Waterloo Bucks News Release
Waterloo, IA - The Waterloo Bucks, members of the Northwoods League, have announced that tickets for their 2013 Northwoods League Playoff games are now on sale. The Bucks will host a playoff game at renovated Riverfront Stadium on either Monday, August 12 or Tuesday, August 13 at 6:35 pm and could host as many as four games depending on a variety of factors.
The Bucks will face the North Division Second Half Champion in the NWL's Divisional Playoffs, which will begin on August 12. If Waterloo wins the Second Half Title, they will face the North Division team with the second-best overall record. The Divisional Playoffs are a best-of-three format. The winners of each Divisional Playoff will advance to the Summer Collegiate World Series where the NWL Champion will be crowned.
Current Box Seat or Reserved Seat season ticket holders will have until August 9 to reserve their seats for the playoffs. After August 9, all Box Seat and Reserved Seats that are not claimed will go on sale to the general public.
All fans, including Box Seat and Reserved Seat season ticket holders, may purchase one or multiple game playoff tickets. If the Bucks do not play all four games at home, ticket holders will either receive a credit towards 2014 season tickets or receive a full refund for any home games that are not played.
Looking at the Bucks' Playoff scenarios, home field advantage is determined by the best overall record. If Waterloo faces Mankato or Rochester in the North Divisional Playoffs, the three-game series will rotate between the two teams with the team with home field advantage hosting games one and three. If the Bucks play any other North Division team in the Divisional Playoffs, the first game would be played at the home stadium of the team without home field advantage and games two and three would be played at the home team with home field advantage.
For the Summer Collegiate World Series, if Waterloo faces La Crosse or Madison, the three-game series will rotate between the two teams with the team with home field advantage hosting games one and three. If the Bucks play any other South Division team in the SCWS, the first game would be played at the home stadium of the team without home field advantage and games two and three would be played at the home team with home field advantage.
Playoff tickets may be purchased online (www.waterloobucks.com fMFC9Eolf] or https://ticket-e-split.com/en/event/13755 6iZwACvR-K12O6y_VS23lRl7Ja3AMyg]), in person at the Riverfront Stadium Ticket Window, or by calling the Bucks' Ticket Line at (319) 232-5633.
