LA CROSSE - For the second consecutive evening, the La Crosse Loggers put nine runs up in the fourth inning against the Wisconsin Woodchucks as the Loggers eased to an 18-2 victory.

After both Woodchuck starter Jordan Luvisi and Logger starter Matt Levert threw scoreless first innings, the Loggers would score first in the second frame. On Luvisi's first pitch to Rich Prigatano, Prigatano hit a moon shot over the left-field wall, his tenth home run of the season, giving the Loggers a 1-0 lead.

Luvisi was able to keep the score at 1-0 all the way until the fourth inning before the Loggers bats woke up. The Loggers sent fourteen batters to the plate in the inning, scoring nine runs against the Woodchucks. In the first two games of the series, the Loggers have amassed 18 runs in the fourth inning.

The Woodchucks would finally get on the board against Levert in the fifth inning. After Levert threw a ball over the head of Brendon Hayden, the Woodchucks bench began barking at Levert and both benches were warned. Two pitches later, Hayden hit his fourth home run of the season over the right-field wall to make it 10-1. Three of Hayden's four home runs have come in La Crosse.

After Prigatano drove in two more runs in the fifth with a single to make it 12-1, Bobby Juan would add yet again to his impressive numbers in the series in the sixth inning. Juan had an RBI-single in the nine-run fourth, and then added a two-run double in the sixth to make it 14-1. Juan broke the Logger franchise record for RBI's Tuesday night with six, and added three on Wednesday to give him nine on the series.

The Woodchucks would tack on one more run in the seventh on an RBI-single by Eric Filia-Snyder that scored Brooks Braga, but it would not matter as the Loggers crushed the "˜Chucks 18-2.

The final game of the three game set will be tomorrow at 7:05 in La Crosse with Austin Stadler on the mound. The Woodchucks will also face the Loggers in the first round of the Northwoods League playoffs, which will begin on Monday.
