
Lock Monsters recall Matt Hendricks

Lowell, MA - The Lock Monsters announced today that they have recalled rookie forward Matt Hendricks from the Florida Everblades (ECHL).
Signed in the fifth round of the 2000 NHL Draft by the Nashville Predators, Hendricks is expected to be in the lineup when the Lock Monsters take on the Bruins tonight in Providence. The 23-year old Minnesota native appeared in 51 games with the Everblades, leading the team with 47 points (23 goals, 24 assists). Hendricks also leads all rookies in the ECHL with his point total and is tied for first in goals. Hendricks played one exhibition game with the Lock Monsters in early October, registering a lone assist.
The Lock Monsters look to rebound after their shootout loss to Manchester this past Sunday when they travel to Providence tonight for a 7:05 start, and then to Springfield for a 7:30 face-off on Friday night. The team will then return home for a 4:00 p.m. game on Sunday against the Norfolk Admirals.
