Crunch Sign Defenseman Matt Libby to Third P.T.O.

Syracuse, NY (February 23, 2005) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed defenseman Matt Libby to a professional tryout contract, his third this season with the Crunch.

Libby, 26, has appeared in 41 games with the Trenton Titans (ECHL) this season, recording 3 goals, 19 assists and 40 penalty minutes. In five games with Syracuse this season, Libby has recorded six penalty minutes. A native of Saco, Maine, Libby appeared in 97 career American Hockey League games with Bridgeport, Syracuse, Saint John and Portland, recording 2 goals, 16 assists and 51 penalty minutes.
