Local Charities to Win Big at Champion Window Field

Florence, KY - The Florence Freedom are thrilled to announce their first two charity teammates for the June 27 "Take it to the Bank" Tuesday sponsored by The Bank of Kentucky. The Make-A-Wish Foundation with Team Casey and the Brighton Center, Inc. are the first two organizations to benefit from the night.
Fans attending Florence Freedom games at Champion Window Field on Tuesday, June 27 will get to select which of these two local charities will receive a portion of their ticket money.
The Florence Freedom have two other Tuesday night games July 18 and August 15. Different local charities will be selected for those "Take it to the Bank" Tuesdays.
On June 27th fans can also meet 1360 HOMER's Lance McAlister and his 6-year old son Casey as part of the HOMER Outing Lance will host for his listeners. Casey celebrates the three year anniversary of his bone marrow transplant for AML leukemia this week. Casey had his wish to visit Disney World granted by Make-A-Wish in May of 2004.
Each fan who buys a ticket for Tuesday's game online, by phone, or at the box office will be asked to select their preferred charity for the night. Ticket prices range from $7-9.50, The Bank of Kentucky along with the Florence Freedom will donate $1- 2 per ticket to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Brighton Center, Inc.
Florence Freedom gift cards will be on sale during the game that can be used in The Bank of Kentucky Florence Freedom Gift Shop or at the concessions stands. For each gift card purchased the Florence Freedom provides another $2 to the selected charity.
Both charities can really "Take it to the Bank" if at least 500 fans attend the game in support of their respective organizations. If either the Brighton Center or the Make-A-Wish Foundation reaches the 500 fan mark, the Florence Freedom will donate an additional $500. All checks will be presented by The Bank of Kentucky later on during the game.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Ohio fulfilled the individual wishes of 82 local children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions last fiscal year. Florence Freedom is a member of the Frontier League, a 10-team Independent Professional Baseball League established in 1993. The Freedom play a 96 game schedule with 48 home games between late May and early September.
