B.C. Lions News Release
VANCOUVER, B.C, September 3, 2003 â The BC Lions today announced plans to launch the Pregame Pigskin Barbeque, presented by Bell Mobility and Budweiser, before all of the Lions' remaining four home games in 2003.
The Pig Skin BBQ will start at 5:00pm at the Plaza of Nations, and continue until kickoff at 7:30pm. The Felions dance team is scheduled to perform at all four events, and the Bud Rig will be on site for the first two Pig Skin BBQs, Saturday, September 13 and Saturday, October 4. The Bud Rig comes complete with a 1,000-watt stereo system, a barbeque, a refrigeration unit and the Bud Girls.
The Pig Skin BBQ will be held at the Plaza of Nations main stage area, outdoors but covered from the elements. Hooters will be serving chicken wings, and Big Al's Soul Food will be serving southern cuisine. To commemorate the very first Pregame Pigskin BBQ on September 13, the Vancouver Police and Firefighters will be onsite selling burgers and pop to support their chosen charities, the BC Special Olympics and ALS.
Because the Pig Skin Barbeque is a licensed event, all Pigskin BBQ patrons must be over the age of 19.
