
Edmonton's Hervey Suspended for One Game

Toronto, Ontario â The Canadian Football League announced today that Ed Hervey of the Edmonton Eskimos has been suspended for one game for his objectionable conduct in the game against Calgary on September 1. Hervey was assessed a "rough play disqualification" during Monday's game that also carried an ejection.
Also disciplined is Calgary Stampeder Davis Sanchez. For his involvement in the melee, Sanchez received an undisclosed fine, in accordance with League policy.
At the same time, disciplinary actions have been taken on Calgary coach Jim Daley for his actions during the incident.
CFL Vice President of Football Operations Ed Chalupka offered the following. "The CFL in no way, shape, or form condones the actions of these players, nor the inappropriate conduct of the Calgary coach. The actions taken reflect the seriousness of the situation and we expect all players in the Canadian Football League to govern themselves professionally."
