B.C. Lions News Release
VANCOUVER, B.C. April 2, 2003 â BC Lions President and Chief Executive Officer, Bob Ackles, today announced a partnership between the football club and ADT Security Services Canada, Inc. for the upcoming 2003 season.
"We are very pleased to announce our partnership with ADT," said BC Lions President Bob Ackles. "Our purpose is to build unique, integrated and prosperous programs with quality corporate partners. ADT is an outstanding company poised to build on their successes to date."
The new agreement sees ADT become the official security services partner of the BC Lions Football Club.
"This will provide us with a unique means to communicate and demonstrate our products on a one-to-one basis with our consumer," said Stephen Millen, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for ADT.
Two unique aspects of this agreement include an ADT interactive concourse display during BC Lions home games this season and the sponsorship of every quarterback sack made by a BC Lion at home. For every Lions quarterback sack that's made at BC Place, ADT will award one lucky fan a $100 gift certificate. Last year there were 19 sacks made at home by BC Lions players.
