
Riders Re-Sign All-Star

Today the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club announced that they have re-signed running back and return specialist Corey Holmes. Details of the contract were not released.
Holmes is coming off a breakthrough season in which he was named CFL Special Teams Player-of-the-Year. Holmes led the CFL in punt return yards with 1,023 and was second in the league with 1,025 kickoff return yards.
The 26-year old was also a huge threat in the Riders offence rushing for 334 yards, catching 24 passes for 285 yards, and leading Saskatchewan with seven touchdowns.
"Re-signing Corey was a huge priority for this ball club," stated Riders head coach Danny Barrett. "Corey brings the team tremendous talent as a rusher and receiver, as well as being the best return man in the CFL.
