Edmonton, AB â The Edmonton Eskimos have gone south in search of more depth for the D-line. The club announced today the signing of Aaron Fields, a former Green Bay Packer and Dallas Cowboy.
A standout at Troy University (1996 â '99), Fields signed with Dallas as a rookie free agent in April 2000 and appeared in 3 games for the Cowboys that season. He did not play in 2001 and signed with Green Bay February 5, 2002. Fields was a late cut from the Packers' 2002 training camp.

Pro: Signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with Dallas Cowboys in April 2000. Appeared in 3 games for Dallas in 2000. Also spent time on the Atlanta Falcons practice roster. Did not play in 2001. Signed as a free agent with Green Bay February 5, 2002.
College/Personal: Aaron lettered in his senior season (1999) at Troy State, starting all 13 games. He finished with 54 tackles (14 for loss) and a team leading 7 sacks. Transferred to Troy State from Savannah State in 1998. Aaron was an all-state linebacker in his junior and senior years at Notasulga High School in Alabama. Nickname: "Lightening". Aaron, his wife Lashun and children Terrance and Trekorius reside in Opelika, Alabama. Aaron owns five beagle hounds, and lists his favorite hobbies as hunting and fishing.
