Lions Acquire Quarterback Kevin Glenn from Redblacks

(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club has acquired quarterback Kevin Glenn from the Ottawa REDBLACKS in exchange for the 5th overall selection in the 2014 CFL Draft.

Glenn had been selected first overall by the REDBLACKS as part of the CFL Expansion Draft last December. The 13-year CFL veteran spent the past two seasons with the Calgary Stampeders preceded by three seasons in Hamilton (2009-2011), five seasons in Winnipeg (2004-2008) and three years in Saskatchewan (2001-2003).

"Kevin gives us immediate experience at the quarterback position behind Travis Lulay," said VP of football operations and GM Wally Buono. "He's a proven winner, a great locker room guy and he'll make us better."

The Illinois State grad has thrown for 39,418 yards (10th all-time in CFL history) on 2,982 completions with 222 touchdowns. A native of Detroit, Michigan Glenn has 38, 300-yard games and a 81-72-1 record over 154 games as a starter with 222 appearances overall.
