LINCOLN, NE - The Lincoln Saltdogs dropped their second straight on Wednesday, losing 9-2 at Grand Prairie. Lincoln falls to 18-13 on the season.

The AirHogs plated six runs in the first two innings against Saltdogs starter Angel Castro (1-2), who struggled on the night after starting his season with two solid outings. A throwing error by Lincoln led to three unearned runs in the first, and Grand Prairie scored three runs on two hits and a walk in the second.

The Saltdogs had their chances against AirHogs starter Ryne Tacker (2-1), but only managed a pair of runs. Gavin Dickey drove in a run on an RBI fielder's choice in the third inning, and Roberto Alvarez hit a solo home run in the fifth, his first of the season. The 'Dogs loaded the bases with nobody out in the fourth but came up empty, and also failed to score after loading the bases with one out in the sixth. Grand Prairie scored two in the fourth and one in the sixth to produce the final margin.

Alvarez ended the night 2-for-4 with the home run, a double and two runs scored. Brandon Jones had three hits for Lincoln, while Albenis Machado, Argelis Nunez and Rafael Alvarez had two hits apiece.

The two teams play the finale of their four-game series Thursday night at 7:05. Right-hander Jim Paduch will take the mound for the Saltdogs.
