Bakersfield, Calif. â The Bakersfield Condors will wrap up a five-game homestand tonight when the Long Beach Ice Dogs come to town for a 7:00pm start.
The first 2,000 fans 16 and over tonight will receive a Condors license plate frame, courtesy of KGEO AM 1230 and Whitewater Carwash and Lube. Doors open at 6:00pm. In addition to their sponsorship, Whitewater will also give away 500 free carwashes.
The game is a T.H.I.N.K. Night, sponsored by 101.5 KGFM and ARRC Technology. The T.H.I.N.K. Program rewards students for outstanding achievement in the classroom, and provides complimentary tickets for participating students.
Tonight's game is also a Season Ticket Holder Referral Night. Season ticket holders received complimentary rinkside or executive level tickets to be used to recruit additional season ticket holders. Any 03-04 season ticket holder who refers a client that purchases a new ticket package for 04-05, prior to April 30, 2004, will receive a $100 credit for each referral ticket purchased. The credit may be used for season tickets or Condors merchandise. Any referral to a mini-plan purchase will receive a merchandise credit for up to $40 per seat. After tonight's game, the Condors head out on the road, with a 7:00pm match in Long Beach on Saturday and a 5:00pm match in San Diego on Sunday. They will return home with a 7:00pm game against Idaho on Wednesday, March 31st to start a three-game home stand that will end the 2003-04 Condors season. It is Student I.D. Night that night, and all junior high, high school and college students can purchase executive level tickets for just $1 by presenting their student ID at the box office.
All Condors games, home and away, can be heard on KGEO AM 1230, and online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com. "Condors Countdown" starts 15 minutes prior to game time, with Kevin Bartl handling the play-by-play. Tonight's game will be televised live on Bright House Networks, Ch. 21 and replayed on Saturday morning at 10:00am.
Individual seats are on sale now, and may be purchased through the Centennial Garden box office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location.
Condors droppings: The March website auction of the month features a chance to take in a Blitz game with Condors Head Coach Marty Raymond. The prize is dinner for two with Marty Raymond in the Centennial Garden Club Room, with the game based on availability. Log on to www.bakersfieldcondors.com to place your bid.
