Bombers edge Nailers, 3-2, in shootout for second straight win

Brian Ridolfi scored the decisive goal in the seventh round of the shootout to lift the Dayton Bombers to their second straight win, a 3-2 triumph over the Wheeling Nailers during Ultimate Sports Bar Night at the Ervin J. Nutter Center on Friday.

Ridolfi also assisted on defenseman Grady Moore's slap shot goal that put the Bombers in front 2-1 at 10:50 of the third period. Jason Jaffray tied the game for Wheeling to force the extra session with a score at 15:10.

Jason Deskins also scored for the Dayton Bombers. Olivier Proulx assisted on the play, extending a point scoring streak to six games. Goalie Andrew Penner notched his second straight +40-save performance with 44 stops through three periods and an overtime session as the Bombers recorded their first win over Wheeling this season. Tom Rouleau scored the other Nailers' goal.

On Saturday, March 20 vs. Toledo (7:00 p.m.), the Bombers will be hosting their first-ever Bike Night. Buckminn's Harley Davidson in Xenia will be providing motorcycle displays on the Nutter Center Upper Concourse. In addition, one fan will be the lucky winner of a Harley-Davidson Leather Jacket as part of a promotional giveaway.
