Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

In a battle of first-place teams, the North-leading IronPigs (57-38) play the opener of a four-game series against the West-leading Toledo Mud Hens (52-43) at Fifth Third Field... With a 2-1 loss last night in Columbus, the fell short of their first-ever series sweep of the Clippers while snapping their winning streak at five. Still, the Pigs maintained their franchise-record/season-high, 6.5-game lead over Scranton/WB. Lehigh Valley has won nine of its last 11 contests and owns a 28-12 record since June 3... The Mud Hens -- Detroit's top affiliate -- won 3-0 last night to avoid being swept in three games at home by the RailRiders. Still, the Hens have dropped four of their last six contests and own just a 15-23 record since June 7... Although Toledo took the meeting, 2-1, in Allentown from June 1-3, the Pigs own a 24-14 all-time advantage at Fifth Third Field.

RHP Drew Anderson (6-3, 4.19) will start for LHV against LHP Tyler Alexander (2-3, 5.44).

First-Pitch tonight is 7:05 p.m.

The Pigs continue to own the IL's best record, as they hold a 3.0-game lead on Durham (54-41)
