Today's Game

This evening, the Buffalo Bisons begin their four-game series against the Durham Bulls to complete a seven-game home stand. The Herd will then have a scheduled off-day on Monday before heading to Louisville and Indianapolis. Buffalo will play three doubleheaders on the road trip (7/24 (LOU), 7/27 (IND), and 7/29 (IND)) as part of the postponed games at Coca-Cola Field in April. After that, the team returns home to welcome the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, closing out July and beginning August.

Last Game: BUF 4, NOR 5

RHP Matt Tracy earned his first quality start yesterday going 6.0 IP, 6H, 3R/ER, 2BB, and 3K but it wasn't enough to secure the win. The Herd out-hit the Tides 11 to nine, with four players picking up multi-hit games. All four RBI's were driven in by four different players too. 1B Rowdy Tellez hit a home run in the 8th to send the game into extra innings and INF Gio Urshela finished 3-5 with an RBI.

Durham (1-2)

The Bisons and Bulls are meeting for their second, and final, series of the season. They last played on April 23-25 at DBAP in Durham, NC. The Herd took the last game of the series with a 5-2 victory. RHP Chris Rowley is the only active pitcher on the Bisons' roster to have thrown against the Bulls in the April series.

Today's Starter: LHP Thomas Pannone

LHP Thomas Pannone is taking the mound for the third time in a Bisons' uniform. The lefty's last outing was 7/14 @LHV where he gave up a career-high 11 hits in 6.1 innings pitched. Pannone also struck out 8 in the defeat. Overall, the left hander has made five starts in the Minors this season.

Gio Urshela

INF Gio Urshela went 3-5 on Wednesday afternoon with an RBI. The infielder has played 10 games with the Herd collecting at least one hit in every game except one. He is batting .478 (11-23) at home and in his last five games is 10-20 (.500).

Rowdy Tellez

1B Rowdy Tellez went 2-4 Wednesday afternoon with a run scored, a RBI, and a walk. Tellez hit his seventh long ball of the season in yesterday's game. The first basemen surpassed his Triple-A high six home runs set last season.

Jonathan Davis

OF Jonathan Davis went 2-4 with two runs scored last game. In Davis's six games with the Bison's he is 8-26 (.308) with 5 runs scored and 2 RBIs. Davis has 3 multi-hit game with the Herd so far.

Bisons' Bits

There have been eleven of the Blue Jays' 30 Top Prospects according to MLB.com play for the Bisons this season...INF Gio Urshela now has 16 hits in 10 games since joining the Bisons (16-39, .410AVG)...RHP Sean Reid-Foley has earned three wins in four starts so far this month (2.70 ERA in 23.1 IP)...The Bisons now have 92 stolen bases this year, first in the IL and second amongst Triple-A teams (Colorado Springs, 126).

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays return to action tomorrow night as the All-Star Break comes to a close. Toronto (43-52) will start a six-game homestand at Rogers Centre as they face the Baltimore Orioles and Minnesota Twins. The Jays then embark on a ten-day road trip between Chicago, Oakland, and Seattle.
