Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The first-place IronPigs (38-28) play Game 2 of a four-game series against the Pawtucket Red Sox (31-33) at Coca-Cola Park... With an 8-1 victory last night, the Pigs have now won nine of their last 12 contests and have improved to 3-2 on this eight-game homestand. The Pigs also set a new high-water of 10 games above .500 while extending their lead back to a season-high, 3.5-games in the North Division. After starting the season 8-10, Lehigh Valley is 30-18 since April 27... The Red Sox -- Boston's top affiliate -- snapped their four-game winning streak, which was one short of their season-high set May 27-31. Still, the Paw Sox have posted a 12-6 record since May 27 -- a span started by winning the final two games of a five-game, home series against the Pigs... The Pigs have won all four games of the 2018 season series in Allentown, including a sweep of a three-gamer from May 7-9.

LHP Cole Irvin (8-1, 2.62) will start for LHV against LHP Josh D. Smith (2-3, 3.12).

Tonight features Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Coors Light. First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
