Toronto Argonauts News Release
Toronto - The Toronto Argonauts Football Club would like to congratulate CB/KR Bashir Levingston for being named the CFL's Special Teams Player of the Week. Levingston has now earned the honour and unprecedented 10th time in his career.
The Argonauts All-Star Kick Returner sealed the fate of the visiting Calgary Stampeders when he raced back not one, but two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Levingston's raw speed and talent carried the Boatmen to pay dirt on a 109-yard punt return (tied for the second longest in club history) and a 111-yard missed field goal return for a touchdown. Levingston put up a season high 345 all-purpose yards and marched his team to sole possession of first place in the East Division.
Commented CFL Player of the Week judge Ellison Kelly, "The Argos special teams was outstanding, they hustled and blocked extremely well, making it possible for Bashir to be the difference maker. Levingston's punt return was the seventh of his career."
