
Leverton Transferred To Jupiter; Squires Transferred To Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns, Double-A minor league affiliate of the Miami Marlins, announced today that LHP James Leverton has been transferred from Jacksonville to Jupiter. In a corresponding move, RHP Chris Squires has been transferred from Jupiter to Jacksonville. .
Leverton, heads to Jupiter after appearing in seven games for the Suns in 2012. He had a 1.54 ERA with eight hits allowed, three walks and 12 strikeouts in 11.2 innings of work.
Squires, is back in Jacksonville after being in Jupiter since May 11. In Jupiter he posted a 1-1 record with a 2.91 ERA and struck out 13 while walking 10 in 21.2 innings. With Jacksonville in 2012 he is 0-0 with a 3.86 ERA in 11.2 innings of work. He will be assigned a number upon arrival in Montgomery, Ala.
The Suns roster remains at the maximum of 25 allowed by the Southern League.
