TORONTO, ON - The Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League defeated the Toronto Marlies on Sunday afternoon at Coca-Cola Coliseum by a final score of 2-1 in overtime. With the win, the Monsters improve to 10-7-2-0 overall this season and with 22 points, remain alone in third place in the AHL's North Division standings.

Toronto got the scoring started in the opening frame when Mason Marchment tallied an even-strength marker at 12:19 to give the Marlies a 1-0 lead.

After a scoreless second period, the Monsters struck in the final frame as Sonny Milano finished a rebound off a Nathan Gerbe shot from Adam Clendening at 18:18 to send the contest into overtime, 1-1.

In the extra frame, Mark Letestu netted the game-winner for the Monsters on a feed from Milano at 1:01 to secure the 2-1 road win for Cleveland.

Cleveland goaltender Jean-Francois Berube stopped 23 of 24 shots to improve to 6-5-2 on the season, while Marlies netminder Eamon McAdam stopped 25 of the 27 pucks he faced, to drop to 3-0-3 on the year.
