ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned goaltender Kevin Lankinen from the ECHL's Indy Fuel to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.

Lankinen, 23, was assigned to Indy on Thursday and extended his unbeaten streak to each of his first four ECHL games following a 30-save effort last night against Kalamazoo. The rookie netminder is now 4-0-0 with a 2.50 GAA and .910 save percentage with the Fuel, and has made 25 or more saves in each of his last three appearances.

The Helsinki, Finland native will return to Rockford where he has posted an 0-2-1 record with a 2.98 GAA and .852 save percentage through three AHL contests. He helped Rockford to a point in an overtime loss on Oct. 19 at Tucson and most recently turned aside a season-high 19 pucks on Nov. 17 at San Antonio.

Prior to signing a one-year NHL deal with the Blackhawks this offseason, Lankinen won a Liiga Bronze Medal with HIFK in the Finnish Elite League in 2017-18.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Dec. 1 vs. Milwaukee Admirals | 6 p.m.

The IceHogs will host the Milwaukee Admirals for Teddy Bear Toss Night at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Fans are encouraged to bring in plush toys/animals to throw on the ice after the IceHogs score their first goal of the game. The stuffed animals will then be donated to local hospitals and kids charities.
