APPLEBEE'S PARK (Lexington, KY) - Every Lexington Legend reached base for the third straight game, and the Legends used a four-run seventh inning to win their fourth straight game and give Luis Pardo his first professional win. Every Legend recorded a hit in the game, and six Legends drove in a run as Lexington defeated the Columbus Catfish 7-4.

The outlook for the Legends extending their season-high winning streak to four games was bleak after the Legends fell in an early four run hole. Columbus played flawless small ball in the first inning to plate their first run of the game. Maiko Loyola double to lead off the game and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt from Shawn O'Malley. Reid

Fronk then plated the first run of the game with a single to right field.

The Catfish added three more runs in the fourth to jump out to a large lead, one night after falling 16-10 to the Legends. Henry Wrigley reached on a fielding error from Craig Corrado with one out in the inning to start the rally. Two wild pitches from Luis Pardo allowed Wrigley to move to third, and Chase Fontaine singled him home. Michael McCormick followed Fontaine's single with his seventh home run of the season to give the Catfish the four-run lead.

Columbus appeared to be well on its way to their first win of the series as Brian Flores held Lexington scoreless through the first three innings. Kyle Miller continued his hot hitting in his first week as a Legend when he launched his first home run as a Legend in the fourth inning. Russell Dixon walked to lead off the fifth inning, moved to second on a single from Brandon Barnes and to third on a sacrifice bunt from Craig Corrado. Cat Everett then drove the second of the game for Lexington with a sacrifice fly to center field.

Lexington continued its scoring with a prolonged rally in the sixth inning. Max Sapp and Jonathan Fixler knocked consecutive singles to start the inning to give Lexington runners on first and second base. Steve Brown moved both runners up a base with a sacrifice bunt, and Sapp scored on a wild pitch from Kevin Boggan. Russell Dixon and Brandon Barnes struck out to end the scoring threat.

Despite their three runs in three innings, the Legends came into the seventh trailing by one run. Craig Corrado immediately changed that with a home run to left field to lead off the inning. Matt Cusick singled and Max Sapp doubled to give Lexington runners on second and third base with one out. Jonathan Fixler then continued his torrid hitting with an RBI single, one night after he hit three home runs and drove in five. Steve Brown singled to load the bases, and Russell Dixon knocked the seventh run of the game home with a sacrifice fly to left.

Luis Pardo earned his first professional win, improving to 1-5 on the season and 1-13 in his minor-league career, with seven innings of four-run ball. Three of the runs were earned, and Pardo struck out six batters while walking one. Kevin Boggan took the loss after surrendering five runs in two innings. Jay Pacella pitched a perfect ninth to earn his eighth save of the season.

The two teams meet in game three of the four-game set at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday.
