
Legends Take Charge in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, OH - The Texas Legends (5-2) neared a wire-to-wire win over the Cleveland Charge (3-3) 120-94 Saturday night at the Wolstein Center.
After trading leads to open the night, Texas went on a 16-6 run and never looked back. The Legends outscored the home team 32-20 in the first and held a 66-42 advantage at the half. The Charge forged a comeback in the third behind an 11-point performance from Justin Powell, making it the only quarter they would outscore the visitors (24-33). Cleveland got within 12 but Mike Miles closed the third from beyond the arc to send Texas to the final minutes up 90-75. The Charge opened with 4 straight but Texas answered with a 6-0 run of their own and hit a 10-point streak later in the quarter to seal the victory.
Greg Brown III led all scorers with 24 points, 7 rebounds and Jordan Walker added 20 points. Dexter Dennis and Olivier-Maxence Prosper had 16 points apiece, 7 and 6 rebounds respectively. Theo Pinson finished with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, and Joe Wieskamp rounded out the double figures at 10 points, 5 rebounds.
Cleveland also had six players in double figures led by Sharife Cooper with 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Malik Fitts added 14 points, 5 rebounds, and Justin Powell came off the bench for 13 points, 4 rebounds.
