Legends Secure Series Win over GreenJackets with 6-5 Victory in Game Four

WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK (Lexington, KY) - The Lexington Legends came from behind to take game four over the Augusta Greenjackets with a 6-5 victory. The Legends improve their record to 30-23 while the Greenjackets fall to 34-20.
Augusta plated their first runs of the game in the top of the second inning. Ryan Kirby reached on an error and moved to second when Aaron Bond drew a walk. John Riley brought them both home with a two-run double down the right field line and the Greenjackets led 2-0.
In the top of the fourth, Bond singled to left field then scored on an RBI single by Nick Hill, extending Augusta's lead 3-0.
The Legends scored first in the bottom of the fifth. Brewer Hicklen singled to left field then scored on an RBI double by Dennicher Carrasco. Ricky Aracena skied a sacrifice fly to centerfield, bringing home Carrasco and the Legends were on the board, 3-2.
In the top of the sixth, Bond singled to left field. Riley then blasted a two-run home run to right field, extending Augusta's lead 5-2.
Lexington tied the game in the bottom of the seventh. Hicklen reached on a dropped third-strike then advanced to third on a fielding error on a groundball hit by Carrasco. With runners on the corners, Cristian Perez lined an RBI double to left field, while moving Carrasco to third. Jose Marte then tossed a wild pitch, allowing Carrasco to score. Aracena then popped up another sacrifice fly to centerfield, scoring Perez and the Legends and Greenjackets were tied at five.
The Legends scored the game winning run in the bottom of the eighth. Nick Pratto singled to right field and moved to second on a wild pitch. Seuly Matias then hit a fly out to right field, and Pratto moved to third. With Hicklen at the plate, Pratto scored on the second wild pitch of the inning and the Legends led 6-5.
Tyler Zuber earned the win for the Legends tossing 1.1 shutout innings allowing one hit while striking out three. Nolan Watson pitched the first 5.2 innings allowing five runs (three earned) on nine hits while walking three and striking out nine.
The Legends have a scheduled off day tomorrow, June 4 before traveling to West Virginia to face the Power.
