
Legends Run out of Gas Against Jam

Frisco, TX DEC. 10, 2011 - On the heels of a back to back the Texas Legends ran out of gas in the second half, watching a 10 point half time lead turn into a blowout loss to the Bakersfield Jam 117-97.
Bakersfield was led by Osiris Eldridge who contributed 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists on the night. The Jam excelled in the second half outscoring the Legends 65 to 35 while shooting 50.6% as a team.
All five starters for the Legends scored in double figures, but it was Booker Woodfox who paced Texas with 22 points. Vance Cooksey registered a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Ramon Dyer led the team in boards with nine while contributing 19 points.
Texas' bench completed only 4 field goals for the game, while the Jam's bench produced 33 points. The Legends struggled with turnovers again as they committed 21 compared to the Jam's 14.
David Palmer controlled the paint for Bakersfield with 4 blocked shots and 13 total rebounds. Palmer was also strong offensively scoring 18 points for the Jam.
Texas (1-5) plays their third road game in four days when they travel to Los Angeles to face the D-Fenders (6-2) at 10:00PM on December 12th.
