Jordan Lyles pitched six shutout innings and Brian Pellegrini hit his 18th home run of the year as the Lexington Legends pounded out 14 hits and beat the Charleston RiverDogs 11-0 in Charleston Friday night.

Pellegrini's two-run homer in the fourth inning started the scoring. The Legends scored three in the fourth and added a run in the fifth, three in the seventh, three in the eighth and one in the ninth.

Seven Legends had at least one hit in the game, and five had at least two hits. Shortstop Brandon Wikoff was four-for-five with four RBI's. Center fielder Jay Austin was two-for-five with an RBI and stole two bases, his 21st and 22nd of the year.

Lexington pitchers dominated as well. Jordan Lyles pitched the first six innings, allowing three hits, as he picked up his sixth win of the year against nine losses. Henry Villar pitched a perfect seventh and eighth, and Patrick Urckfitz retired the RiverDogs in order in the ninth. Legends' pitchers retired the final 16 Charleston batters. The RiverDogs' last baserunner of the game was Garrison Lassiter, who singled with two outs in the fourth innings.

The two teams will meet again Saturday night at 7:05 p.m.
