Carlyle to Pitch in Rome Saturday

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves announce that Atlanta Braves pitcher Buddy Carlyle will pitch Saturday as part of a Major League Rehab assignment. Carlyle will work from the bullpen tomorrow evening.

The Atlanta right-hander was placed on the disabled with an upper back sprain and was 0-1 with Atlanta this season in 14 appearances. He tossed a perfect inning, striking out two at Triple A Gwinnet on July 21st. "Everything felt good," he said. "I think it will continue to come back once I get my arm stretched out a little bit more. As soon as I do that, I think I'll be able to throw with a little more power."
